Read on to find out more about my experience and goals.

The root of all great journalism is a passion for storytelling. I firmly believe this and strive to reflect it in all the work I produce. Now, I'm looking to secure a position as an MMJ/reporter/anchor for a local TV station.

I plan to devote my life to sharing people's stories and serving the public. My end goal is to be a foreign correspondent, but in the meantime, I'm focusing on producing solid pieces of journalism.

I've worked hard throughout my four years at Penn State to become a well-rounded multimedia journalist. I’ve reported, anchored, and produced for the Centre County Report, Penn State's Emmy-Award winning student-produced newscast. Recently, I traveled to Greece to report on the refugee crisis, where I honed my skills as an international reporter. This past summer, I interned in the Digital Media Department for Discovery Channel, where I worked on social and digital media for the Emmy Award-winning show Deadliest Catch and most watched Shark Week ever. Last fall, I had the opportunity to report for a newspaper in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which gave me a glimpse into the interconnectedness of international events and the streamlined, global nature of the news.

What's going on now?

This semester, you can find me executive producing for the Centre County Report, Penn State's Emmy Award-Winning student newscast. I also just returned from Greece, where I reported on the refugee crisis with Penn State's international reporting class. Now, I'm producing a special TV program about the refugee crisis, entitled The Journey. Back in State College, I'm finishing my tenure as the Production Director for State of State, a three-year-old campus organization focusing on bridging the communication gaps in the community so that we can all work together to improve it.
